The man behind the songbook of Australian television, Geoff Harvey, has died aged 83. Born in the UK in 1935, Mr Harvey moved to Australia in the early 1960s and went on to make an undeniable influence on Australian television history. Roads Flood in Gunnedah After Early Morning Deluge

Drought-stricken Gunnedah, in New South Wales, received 80.6 mm rain on Saturday, March 30, which brought flash flooding to some areas. Jessie Smith was driving from Gunnedah to Moree via Narrabri and filmed flooded roads and low-lying areas along the way. The Northern Daily Leader reported the State Emergency Service was called to rescue a couple at Gunnedah stranded by floodwaters in their car, and that localised flooding was affecting roads. A US judge has restricted public access to evidence in next week's trial of former American police officer Mohammed Noor for the murder of Australian woman Justine Damond. Donald Trump has said the FBI and justice department will review Jussie Smollett's 'outrageous' case after charges alleging he staged a hate crime to boost his career were dropped. The Empire star, who is gay, was accused of filing a false police report over claims he was the victim of a racist and homophobic attack in Chicago in January.
