Rescue Crews Respond to Deadly Strikes in Kharkiv

A 10-year-old boy and his 67-year-old grandmother were killed, and the boy’s 11-month-old brother was among 30 injured when Russian missiles struck the city of Kharkiv in northeast Ukraine on Friday, October 6, according to Ukrainian officials. This footage released by the Kharkiv branch of the State Emergency Service (SES) shows their crews at the scenes of the strikes, extinguishing fires and searching for victims in the debris. Governor Oleh Syniehubov said the city was struck by two Russian Iskander-type missiles, The deadly strikes came one day after a Russian missile strike on a cafe-store in Hroza, a village in Kharkiv region, that officials say killed at least 52 people. State-employed psychologists were providing assistance to victims and witnesses in both Hroza and Kharkiv, the SES said.
