Protesters March in Israeli Capital as Netanyahu Rejects Compromise

Protesters marched in Tel Aviv, Israel, on Thursday, March 16, after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu rejected a compromise proposal meant to defuse opposition to a government plan to overhaul the country’s judiciary system. Footage posted to Twitter shows demonstrators on Tel Aviv’s Ayalon Highway on Thursday. At least five people were arrested, Haaretz reported. According to local media, opponents to the reform argue the changes would give the ruling government coalition too much power to do whatever they want. Credit: @Yasmin99774075 via Storyful
