Cheers as Kyrgyz Rescuers Pull Woman From Rubble Alive a Week After Earthquakes

A crowd cheered as rescuers from Kyrgyzstan pulled a woman alive from rubble in Kahramanmaras, Turkey, on Monday, February 13, a week after deadly earthquakes struck the country. Footage posted to the Kyrgyzstan Ministry of Emergency Situations YouTube page shows rescuers pulling the woman out of rubble from a collapsed building and transferring her into a waiting ambulance. Rescuers can be seen clapping and cheering as the woman is carried to the vehicle. The rescue reportedly took place a week after earthquakes devastated parts of Turkey and Syria. By February 13, the death toll from devastating earthquakes in Turkey and neighboring Syria had climbed to more than 37,000, according to reports.
