Fans Line Up Outside Graceland Ahead of Lisa Marie Presley’s Memorial Service

Fans lined up outside Graceland, Elvis Presley’s estate in Memphis, Tennessee, for the memorial service of Lisa Marie Presley, a singer-songwriter and Elvis’s only child, on Sunday, January 22. According to the Graceland website, Lisa Marie, who was 54 when she died, was buried at the estate’s Meditation Garden, where other family members, including her son, Benjamin Storm Presley Keough, and her father, Elvis Presley, have been laid to rest. On Thursday, January 12, Lisa Marie’s mother, Priscilla Presley, said her daughter had been rushed to the hospital. A post on the Graceland website later in the day confirmed that Lisa Marie had died. Footage posted to Instagram by Tracey K Houston shows a line of people near the estate on January 22. Houston said they began lining up at 5 am for the 9 am ‘Celebration of Life’ held on Graceland’s front lawn. Credit: Tracey K. Houston via Storyful
