Authorities Warn of Hazardous Travel Conditions as Heavy Snow Bands Forecasted in Oklahoma

The National Weather Service (NWS) warned commuters of hazardous travel conditions as it forecasted heavy snow bands producing one-inch-per-hour snowfall rates in Oklahoma on Tuesday, January 24. The Oklahoma Department of Transportation reported wet conditions due to light snow and said it was monitoring bridges and treating roadways as needed. The NWS issued a hazardous weather outlook and a winter storm warning and forecasted snow accumulations of up to seven inches, with isolated higher amounts, in the area.
