Huge Crowd Gathers in Argentine Capital to Welcome Home World Cup Champions

Jubilant fans packed the streets of Buenos Aires, Argentina, as the World Cup–winning national soccer team started a victory tour of the capital on Tuesday, December 20. Footage captured by Leo Suarez shows crowds of people singing and dancing near the Obelisco monument in the city center on Tuesday. Local media reported that though the parade would not come down Avenue 9 de Julio and past the famous monument, fans had already packed into the space to celebrate their sporting heroes.
