Heavy Rainfall Swamps Roads in Scotland

Heavy rain brought flooding across Scotland’s West and Central Belt on Friday, December 30, forcing the closure of roads and rail routes. Video by Nithsdale Police shows flooding in the Whitesands area in Dumfries. The police urged people to avoid floodwater due to “hidden hazards.” Local government said a live incident map was activated due to the flooding across the region.
