Backpackers returning to near pre-pandemic levels

The number of backpackers arriving in Australia is closing in on pre-COVID levels, as working holiday visas are approved within an average of 24 hours. According to Immigration Minister Andrew Giles, there are 120,000 backpackers working in the country, compared to just 20,000 during the pandemic.
