Authorities Struggle to Reach Stranded Travelers on Snow-Covered Iowa Roads

Authorities worked to clear snow-covered roads on December 24 after a powerful winter storm made roads impassable in parts of Iowa, reports said. Video streamed live by Hamilton County Sheriff Doug Timmins shows conditions on R-77 on Saturday morning. According to the sheriff, police were unable to reach the vehicle on the other side of the road, which had five people inside, and were awaiting a plow. Several roads remained blocked and impassable on Saturday, Timmins said. Credit: Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office via Storyful
