Bermuda Battered by Hurricane Fiona

Bermuda’s government urged people to stay off the roads after Hurricane Fiona passed the island on Friday, September 23. Bermuda’s Hurricane Warning had been downgraded to a Tropical Storm Warning, but heavy rain and gusty winds would continue Friday, according to the Bermuda Weather Service. The National Hurricane Center said the storm was moving away from Bermuda and had strengthened slightly on its way toward Canada on Friday. Footage taken by Robert Walnut shows the storm “lashing” the Hamilton area early on Friday morning, as well as later footage of Hamilton Harbour and the sea off Astwood Cove.
