Ukrainian Children Killed by Russian Strikes Buried in Chaplyne

Two Ukrainian children who were killed in Russian strikes on a railway station and residential area in Chaplyne, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, on Wednesday, August 24, were laid to rest in the town on Friday, Ukrainian media reported. Footage from Ukraine’s public broadcaster, Suspilne, shows mourners gathering to say goodbye to the two children — six-year-old Matviy Duyun and 11-year-old Vladyslav Reva. Both were at home with their parents when they died, local media reported. The strikes, which occurred on the 31st anniversary of Ukraine’s Independence Day, killed at least 25 people and injured 42, according to officials. Credit: Suspilne News via Storyful
