Northern Lights Illuminate Night Sky Over Finland

A vivid display of aurora borealis cast green light through the night sky over southern Finland early on August 18, video shows. Jasim Sarker said they filmed this footage just after 2 am on August 18 in the municipality of Mantsala, south of Helsinki. NOAA’s Space Weather Prediction Center had issued a strong geomagnetic storm watch from Wednesday into Friday. Credit: Jasim Sarker via Storyful
