Crowds Surround Vehicles Leaving Imran Khan’s Residence After Terrorism Charges Filed Against Former Prime Minister

Pakistani police filed terrorism charges against former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan on Monday, August 22, for allegedly threatening a female judge and senior police officers at a public rally, local media. According to a report by Dawn, a lawyer for Khan said on Monday that “he cannot even approach the relevant court” as Khan’s residence in Bani Gala, Islamabad, had been surrounded by a crowd. Video filmed by journalist Shehzad Ali Raja, who said it was captured in Bani Gala, shows a crowd of people surrounding vehicles. Ali Raja said Khan was leaving the area in one of the vehicles.
