Ukrainian Mother Sings Final Lullaby at Funeral for Son Killed by Mortar Fire

A Ukrainian mother sang a final lullaby at the funeral for her son, a platoon member, in Lviv on Tuesday, June 21, after he was killed by mortar fire three days earlier. Suspilne reported the son, Artemy Dymyd, died near Donetsk on the morning of June 18. He was 26 years old, the news outlet said. Video filmed by Suspilne shows Dymyd’s mother, Ivanka, singing at his funeral in Lviv. She had shared photos of her son on Facebook and expressed her grief.
