At least 50 firefighters were enlisted to put out a wildfire caused by a portable BBQ in Wareham, UK, on Sunday, June 26, officials said. This footage posted to Twitter by the Dorset & Wiltshire Fire & Rescue Service shows the damage caused by the fire. According to local reports, approximately a hectare of grassland, heath, and gorse was impacted by the blaze. The Dorset & Wiltshire Fire & Rescue Service urged residents to take caution when cooking outdoors. “This incident – the damage, wildlife affected & time spent putting it out – could have been avoided,” the fire service wrote in a caption accompanying the footage.
