Firefighters in Southern England Extinguish Wildfire Caused by Portable BBQ

At least 50 firefighters were enlisted to put out a wildfire caused by a portable BBQ in Wareham, UK, on Sunday, June 26, officials said. This footage posted to Twitter by the Dorset & Wiltshire Fire & Rescue Service shows the damage caused by the fire. According to local reports, approximately a hectare of grassland, heath, and gorse was impacted by the blaze. The Dorset & Wiltshire Fire & Rescue Service urged residents to take caution when cooking outdoors. “This incident – the damage, wildlife affected & time spent putting it out – could have been avoided,” the fire service wrote in a caption accompanying the footage. Police Detain Person at Moscow Memorial for Navalny

Police in Moscow were seen detaining at least one person at the “Wall of Grief,” a monument to victims of political persecution, where a vigil to Alexei Navalny was set up on Saturday, February 17. Video filmed by Russian media outlet SOTA shows police detaining one person near the monument and carrying them away. Navalny was reported dead by Russian Russian authorities on Friday, February 16. Authorities said the 47-year-old dissident fell ill and died in the prison colony where he was detained.
