Abandoned Husky Finds New Home in War-Ravaged Donetsk Region, Officials Say

Police in the Donetsk region of Ukraine found a new home for an abandoned dog amid ongoing strikes in the area, footage posted Thursday, May 26, shows. The video released by the National Police of Ukraine shows a five-year-old husky named Katie being cared for by local officials. According to details in the Facebook post, she was found in an emaciated condition and “howling sadly” in Marinka, a city in the center of Donetsk, while officials distributed humanitarian aid to locals.
