Angelina Jolie Meets Refugees in Ukrainian City of Lviv

Angelina Jolie, actor and Special Envoy for the UN Refugee Agency, visited the Ukrainian city of Lviv on Saturday, April 30, where she spoke to refugees at the city’s main train station. Footage from Anton Gerashchenko, an official advisor and a former deputy minister at the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs, shows Jolie chatting with people on Saturday afternoon outside Lviv station. The city has become a major evacuation hub for hundreds of thousands of people fleeing conflict in other parts of the country. Police Detain Person at Moscow Memorial for Navalny

Police in Moscow were seen detaining at least one person at the “Wall of Grief,” a monument to victims of political persecution, where a vigil to Alexei Navalny was set up on Saturday, February 17. Video filmed by Russian media outlet SOTA shows police detaining one person near the monument and carrying them away. Navalny was reported dead by Russian Russian authorities on Friday, February 16. Authorities said the 47-year-old dissident fell ill and died in the prison colony where he was detained. According to Meduza, more than 150 people have been arrested at protests and gatherings in memory of Navalny across Russia. International media reported several journalists were arrested in Moscow and St Petersburg after Navalny’s death was announced.
