German Police Escort ‘Stubborn’ Swan to Safety Along Highway

German police gave a wayward swan the VIP treatment near Neckartailfingen, escorting the bird along a highway until it got off the road. Video shared by the Reutlingen Police, who said they filmed it on March 29 on the B297 highway, shows a police car trailing the swan. “To ensure that all road users, including the swan, reached their destination safely, the vehicles had to be guided past the feathered obstacle on one side,” reported the police. The police said their fellow officers from Nurtingen then managed to “dissuade the stubborn animal from its daring path” and led it to safety. Credit: Reutlingen Police via Storyful
