‘RIP, Meat Loaf’: UK Beauty Salon Patrons Rock Out to Iconic Belter

Meat Loaf fans in the UK paid tribute to the singer after his family announced his death on his official Facebook page on Friday, January 21. Footage filmed by Angie Monroe at her beauty salon in North Worcestershire shows customers waving their arms to Meat Loaf’s hit song Bat Out of Hell, which Monroe decided to play when she found out about the singer’s passing this morning. “My husband messaged me and I saw the notification on my watch,” she told Storyful. “I love Meat Loaf, I grew up listening to him. Truly gutted,” she said. Meat Loaf, born Marvin Lee Aday, died “surrounded by his wife Deborah, daughters Pearl and Amanda and close friends,” according to the post on his Facebook page. He was 74. Police Detain Person at Moscow Memorial for Navalny

Police in Moscow were seen detaining at least one person at the “Wall of Grief,” a monument to victims of political persecution, where a vigil to Alexei Navalny was set up on Saturday, February 17. Video filmed by Russian media outlet SOTA shows police detaining one person near the monument and carrying them away. Navalny was reported dead by Russian Russian authorities on Friday, February 16. Authorities said the 47-year-old dissident fell ill and died in the prison colony where he was detained. According to Meduza, more than 150 people have been arrested at protests and gatherings in memory of Navalny across Russia. International media reported several journalists were arrested in Moscow and St Petersburg after Navalny’s death was announced.
