People Hospitalized After Bridge Collapses in Pittsburgh

At least three people were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries after a bridge collapsed in Pittsburgh on January 28, authorities said. Photos released by Allegheny County Executive Rich Fitzgerald show vehicles in the rubble of the structure that collapsed over Fern Hollow Creek in Frick Park. Authorities warned of a “strong smell of natural gas in the area” and said a gas line had been cut. Police Detain Person at Moscow Memorial for Navalny

Police in Moscow were seen detaining at least one person at the “Wall of Grief,” a monument to victims of political persecution, where a vigil to Alexei Navalny was set up on Saturday, February 17. Video filmed by Russian media outlet SOTA shows police detaining one person near the monument and carrying them away. Navalny was reported dead by Russian Russian authorities on Friday, February 16. Authorities said the 47-year-old dissident fell ill and died in the prison colony where he was detained. According to Meduza, more than 150 people have been arrested at protests and gatherings in memory of Navalny across Russia. International media reported several journalists were arrested in Moscow and St Petersburg after Navalny’s death was announced.
