People Hospitalized After Bridge Collapses in Pittsburgh

At least three people were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries after a bridge collapsed in Pittsburgh on January 28, authorities said. Photos released by Allegheny County Executive Rich Fitzgerald show vehicles in the rubble of the structure that collapsed over Fern Hollow Creek in Frick Park. Authorities warned of a “strong smell of natural gas in the area” and said a gas line had been cut. The collapse was confirmed shortly before 7 am, hours before President Joe Biden was scheduled to visit Pennsylvania to discuss infrastructure. Credit: Allegheny County Executive via Storyful
