Pressure mounts to change ‘tourism testing’ requirements

Pressure is mounting on the Queensland Government to loosen the rules around travel testing requirements. Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk maintains she's yet to decide whether she will accept rapid antigen tests from January 1 after New South Wales Premier Dominic Perrottet sparked confusion in his press conference yesterday. Mr Perrottet thanked Queensland for transitioning to relaxed requirements – but a spokesperson from Palaszczuk's office says no such decision has been made. She signalled she will consider the move from the New Year but did not confirm any details.
