Aerial Footage Shows North Maine Landscape Blanketed by Snow

Winter showers swept parts of northern Maine overnight into Saturday, November 27, blanketing the area with several inches of snow. This aerial footage, posted to Twitter by James Sinko, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service (NWS), gives a 360-degree view of the snow-covered landscape around Castle Hill, in Maine’s Aroostook County, on Saturday morning. Sinko reported that 6.25 inches of snow had fallen in Castle Hill by around 7.50 am. The NWS branch in Caribou, about 14 miles northeast of Castle Hill, said 5.8 inches of snowfall had accumulated at their office by 7 am. A winter storm warning would remain in effect for the area until Saturday evening, the NWS said. Credit: Meteorologist James Sinko via Storyful
