Italian Firefighters Rescue Man and Dog From Floodwaters in Sicily

Areas of Sicily’s east coast experienced flooding as a Mediterranean cyclone, known as a ‘Medicane,’ moved close to the Italian island on Friday, October 29. 3BMeteo reported that the intense storm will bring winds of over 100 km/h (62 mph) as well as heavy rains and storm surges. Italy’s Department of Civil Protection issued a red alert on Thursday due to the expected severe weather.
