Dog Scurries Through Omaha Humane Society in Spider Costume

The staff dog at a Humane Society facility in Omaha, Nebraska, was transformed into an adorable arthropod to raise awareness for pet safety during the Halloween season, footage posted on October 28 shows. This video filmed by the Nebraska Humane Society shows Minerva the “marketing dog” scurrying around the society’s facility dressed in a spider costume. The society offered tips for keeping pets safe during the spooky season, including keeping candy out of reach and animals away from the door during trick-or-treat visits. Police Detain Person at Moscow Memorial for Navalny

Police in Moscow were seen detaining at least one person at the “Wall of Grief,” a monument to victims of political persecution, where a vigil to Alexei Navalny was set up on Saturday, February 17. Video filmed by Russian media outlet SOTA shows police detaining one person near the monument and carrying them away. Navalny was reported dead by Russian Russian authorities on Friday, February 16. Authorities said the 47-year-old dissident fell ill and died in the prison colony where he was detained. According to Meduza, more than 150 people have been arrested at protests and gatherings in memory of Navalny across Russia. International media reported several journalists were arrested in Moscow and St Petersburg after Navalny’s death was announced.
