American Airlines Cancels Hundreds of Flights Over Halloween Weekend

Long lines were seen at American Airlines hubs across the US over Halloween weekend, as the carrier cancelled hundreds of flights. According to the flight tracker Flight Aware, the airline cancelled almost 550 flights on Saturday, October 30, and more than 750 on Sunday. This video, taken at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport on Saturday evening, shows long lines at the American Airlines hub. In a letter addressed to staff, American Airlines cited bad weather as a cause for delays, which cascaded into staffing issues, USA Today reported. Police Detain Person at Moscow Memorial for Navalny

Police in Moscow were seen detaining at least one person at the “Wall of Grief,” a monument to victims of political persecution, where a vigil to Alexei Navalny was set up on Saturday, February 17. Video filmed by Russian media outlet SOTA shows police detaining one person near the monument and carrying them away. Navalny was reported dead by Russian Russian authorities on Friday, February 16. Authorities said the 47-year-old dissident fell ill and died in the prison colony where he was detained. According to Meduza, more than 150 people have been arrested at protests and gatherings in memory of Navalny across Russia. International media reported several journalists were arrested in Moscow and St Petersburg after Navalny’s death was announced.
