Return of parliament ‘essential’ for questioning government

New South Wales Labor Leader Chris Minns says he welcomes the return of parliament because it allows the government to be questioned on its COVID-19 response. Parliament is set to return, but the details remain unclear at this stage. “We’ve been calling for this for a long time,” Mr Minns told Sky News Australia. “I think we can do it in a safe way using audiovisual tools for country MPs. I’m glad common sense has prevailed. “It’s essential the questioning of the executive can take place, and that’s what parliament is for.”
