Protesters in The Hague March Against New COVID Pass Rule

Protesters marched in The Hague on Saturday, September 25, against the Dutch government’s new COVID-19 rule that restricts access to bars, restaurants, and other venues to those who can provide proof of vaccination or a negative test result. The Netherlands’ health ministry announced the measure on September 14, and said it would be in effect from September 25. “Whether people have a fixed seat or not, and whether the location is indoors or outdoors, everyone aged 13 and over will have to show a valid coronavirus entry pass to gain admission. Everyone aged 14 and over will also have to show their ID along with their coronavirus entry pass,” the ministry wrote. The measure would allow restaurants and bars to open to maximum capacity, and for all events to be allowed, the ministry said.
