Business relief axed at 80pc jab rate

Federal financial support for locked down businesses will be pulled too once vaccine milestones are reached – but not before a final lifeline. These business support funds are jointly funded by the Commonwealth and state/territories on a 50-50 basis. The Herald Sun today reports Victoria will get an extra cash injection to help businesses get through whilst the state opens up at that 80 per cent vaccination rate. So 160,000 businesses ranging from retail, hospitality, gyms, hairdressers – will all be eligible for weekly grants of up to $20,000 depending on business type.
