Destruction Surveyed Across New Orleans After Hurricane Ida

Storm Ida made landfall in coastal Louisiana August 29 as a Category 4 hurricane, packing maximum sustained winds of 150 mph, the National Hurricane Center reported. Footage shared on Twitter shows damage across New Orleans on Monday. Hundreds of thousands across the city remained without power on Tuesday as crews were dispatched to affected areas, local utility Entergy said. Ida was downgraded to a tropical depression on Monday as it moved over Mississippi. Credit: Steve Dubb Wade via Storyful
