Victoria records five new local COVID cases

Victoria has recorded five new local cases of coronavirus on the third day of the state’s lockdown. There were 45,301 tests conducted in the last 24 hours with 17,702 vaccinations administered. An aged care worker at a facility in Melbourne's west was diagnosed with COVID-19 which sent the home into lockdown. The team member at Arcare Maidstone was not showing symptoms and was wearing a mask when they last worked at the home on May 27, but later tested positive. The facility said the worker had their first dose of the COVID vaccine.
