Joyce concedes government needs better messaging on vaccine rollout

Nationals backbencher Barnaby Joyce has conceded the government could have chosen "better words" when it comes to its messaging surrounding Australia's vaccine rollout program. According to official data, approximately two per cent of Australians are fully vaccinated, as opposed to 41 per cent of Americans. Vaccine hesitancy has been blamed for the slow uptake of the vaccine, while Labor also criticised the government for saying vaccinating the population is "not a race".
