Waverley Council closes parks for Sydney NYE fireworks despite NSW government advice

Waverley Mayor Paula Masselos says her council does not feel confident it could manage the influx of revellers flocking to parks to enjoy views of Sydney's New Year's fireworks, instead opting to close, fence and police vantage points in the area.
