Powerful winds hit Port Mansfield, Texas, as Hurricane Hanna made landfall in the southern state on July 25. Port Mansfield Police urged residents to evacuate the area ahead of the storm’s arrival and said they expected the area to be without power for an extended period of time. Authorities said the 47-year-old dissident fell ill and died in the prison colony where he was detained. According to Meduza, more than 150 people have been arrested at protests and gatherings in memory of Navalny across Russia. International media reported several journalists were arrested in Moscow and St Petersburg after Navalny’s death was announced.
