Man Rams Car Into Ex-Girlfriend’s Apartment Building After She Refused to Eat With Him

A drunken man drove his vehicle into the apartment building of his ex-girlfriend in Prostějov, Czech Republic, on July 20, after she refused to have lunch with him, according to police. Police said the man, 52, drove his vehicle on a pedestrian path before ramming it into the front of the residence. The man then exited the vehicle and went to a nearby bar, where he was later apprehended by authorities. No injuries were reported. Police said they discovered during their investigation that the man was already banned from operating motor vehicles. He was charged with property damage, among other offences. Police Detain Person at Moscow Memorial for Navalny

Police in Moscow were seen detaining at least one person at the “Wall of Grief,” a monument to victims of political persecution, where a vigil to Alexei Navalny was set up on Saturday, February 17. Video filmed by Russian media outlet SOTA shows police detaining one person near the monument and carrying them away. Navalny was reported dead by Russian Russian authorities on Friday, February 16. Authorities said the 47-year-old dissident fell ill and died in the prison colony where he was detained.
