‘Where’s Melbourne?’: Thick Morning Fog Blankets Victoria’s Capital

A thick blanket of fog shrouded Melbourne on the morning of May 26, lowering visibility across the city. The Victorian capital woke to the cloudy conditions after shivering through temperatures as low as six degrees overnight. “Where’s Melbourne?” local resident Sandy Barker posted to Twitter with this video taken from a high-rise building in the city. Police Detain Person at Moscow Memorial for Navalny

Police in Moscow were seen detaining at least one person at the “Wall of Grief,” a monument to victims of political persecution, where a vigil to Alexei Navalny was set up on Saturday, February 17. Video filmed by Russian media outlet SOTA shows police detaining one person near the monument and carrying them away. Navalny was reported dead by Russian Russian authorities on Friday, February 16. Authorities said the 47-year-old dissident fell ill and died in the prison colony where he was detained. According to Meduza, more than 150 people have been arrested at protests and gatherings in memory of Navalny across Russia. International media reported several journalists were arrested in Moscow and St Petersburg after Navalny’s death was announced.
