Trump defends golfing amid coronavirus pandemic

US President Donald Trump has defended playing golf over the Memorial Day weekend in a series of tweets after he was criticised for taking to the green as the coronavirus death toll neared 100,000. Mr Trump hit back at his critics for painting what he did as a “mortal sin” when he was doing it to “get outside and perhaps, even a little exercise”.
