PM ‘disappointed’ in Sharks doping scandal

Prime Minster Scott Morrison has expressed his disappointment with the Cronulla Sharks doping scandal that was revealed on the eve of the NRL’s season restart. Sharks' centre Bronson Xerri has been provisionally suspended and is facing a four year ban after he returned a sample which tested positive to a range of substances prohibited by the World Anti-Doping Agency. The Prime Minister said he would await the final outcome of the investigation but insisted there was "no place for drugs in sport”. Image: News Corp Australia
