Minneapolis police release tear gas, mace on protestors

Law enforcement officers have ramped up their response to thousands of protestors in Minneapolis, administering tear gas, pepper spray and mace on crowds. Violent protests have taken place across the United States in retaliation for the death of unarmed black man George Floyd who was killed by police in Minneapolis last week. Authorities have implemented a curfew, with police unleashing mace and tear gas on those found outside their homes after 8pm. Protestors are calling for all four police officers involved in the arrest and death of Mr Floyd to be taken into custody, saying they will continue to fight until it is carried out. Image: AP
