Woman ‘Leans Into the Wind’ During Frigid Day in Denver

A resident of Parker, Colorado, a suburb of Denver, was lucky to have new prescription snow goggles at the ready on February 25, as wind gusts and snow squalls blew through the region. The National Weather Service (NWS) said a band of snow moved through the area east of Denver, creating “very poor” travel conditions. Several snow squalls were reported throughout Colorado on Tuesday. Shelly Steig wrote: “Bday gift from hubby (prescription goggle inserts) arrived in the nick of time. It was 9 degrees F w/35 mph gusts this AM. A day to lean into the wind!” The NWS later said light snow and wind gusts up to 35 mph were continuing to impact the Denver region.
