First peanut allergy drug gets US approval

Biopharmaceutical company Aimmune Therapeutics says the US Food and Drug Administration has approved its drug to reduce, and potentially eliminate, allergic reactions to peanuts in children aged 4 to 17 and that it had priced it at $US890 ($A1,330) per month.
