Waves crashed over the promenade at Pacifica, California after a rain band passed south of the area on December 26. A beach hazard warning was issued for beaches along the California Central Coast due to the risk of sneaker waves, large shore breaks and rip current. High tide at Pacifica hit 2.63 metres, or 8.63 feet, on December 26. “The skies have cleared but the Pacifica promenade is soaked from this swell and high tide!” Savannah Peterson posted to Twitter.
