US Marines Prepare for Deployment to American Embassy in Baghdad

US Marines were filmed preparing to be deployed to the US embassy in Baghdad on December 31, after pro-militia protesters besieged the diplomatic post. Video taken by the US Marine Corps showed marines “assigned to Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force-Crisis Response-Central Command” preparing to fly from Kuwait to Iraq to reinforce American personnel at the compound within the Green Zone.
