UAE chat app revealed as spying tool

There are allegations a social media 'chat app', that's quickly became popular in the United Arab Emirates, is actually a government spying tool. The app is being used to track the conversations, locations, images and other data of users who install it, according to The New York Times. The Emirates kingdom has blocked other popular chat apps such as Apple's FaceTime, Facebook's Messenger and WhatsApp.
