Former Victorian premier John Cain dies aged 88

Former Victorian premier John Cain has died, aged 88. Mr Cain was Labor's longest-serving premier, leading the state from 1982 to 1990. In a statement Mr Cain's family said he had suffered a severe stroke in early December and passed away overnight.
