Firefighters Help Rescue Kangaroo from Backyard Pool

Firefighters rescued a kangaroo from a backyard swimming pool in Elderslie, New South Wales, on October 23. Fire & Rescue NSW Station 248 Camden posted the video of the rescue to Facebook and said the kangaroo didn’t have the energy to get itself out of the pool. “It was captured by firefighters, wrapped up in a blanket, and relocated approximately 1km down the road, where firefighters released it back into bushland behind the Nepean River,” Station Commander Joel Kursawe said.
