Department of Environment has no view on “climate crisis”, says climate change will benefit some

Supplied video obtained Monday, October 21, 2019 of Jo Evans from the Department of Environment and Energy speaking at Senate estimates hearing in Canberra. Asked by Greens Senator Sarah Hanson-Young if the climate is "getting worse", Ms Evans says the climate is "definitely changing" and to say whether or not that is better or worse is a "judgment call". "Whether or not you chose terminology to describe that as worse or better depends on where you are on the globe. Some parts of the world, they will find some of those changes working to their advantage, some of them not so much." (AAP Video/Supplied/ParlView) NO ARCHIVING, EDITORIAL USE ONLY
