Impeachment will be a ‘disaster’ for the Democrats

The impeachment hearings may allow US President Donald Trump to run as an ‘outsider’ candidate despite being holding the Oval Office, according to Sky News host James Morrow. The Democrats will hold multiple inquiries into whether to impeach President Trump over allegations he pressured his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky to investigate political rival Joe Biden and his son, Hunter. Mr Morrow said Democrats may be forced to defend the “nepotistic” conduct of Hunter Biden, who held a board position at Ukrainian energy company. He said the controversy could turn into a "disaster" for the Democrats' chances of winning the White House in 2020.
