Frontier Services giving ‘hope to farmers’

As the drought intensifies across the country, an army of roaming retirees are offering to help stricken communities led by one of the oldest bush charities in Australia. More than 1000 grey nomads have joined the fight, carrying out a range of jobs for struggling farmers with the help of Frontier Services. Frontier Services Director Jannine Jackson told Sky News “having someone physically there to help is a sense of hope, being able to have a chat and get stuff done with the practical nature of having someone there to do those jobs that you haven’t been able to do”. “This is one of the worst droughts in history with towns running out of water, the drought adds additional hours to a farmers day. "We are trying to give people the opportunity to have some hope somewhere." Image: News Corp Australia
