Floodwaters Submerge Peoria Neighborhood After Heavy Rain Sweeps Across Illinois

A neighborhood in Peoria, Illinois, was under water on Friday, September 27, after four to six inches of rain fell in under 24 hours across the region. This video was taken from the Hawley Hills Subdivision. According to local news reports, the storm swept across the northern half of Peoria and Woodford counties, and the area could see one or two more inches before the system moves out of the region. Roads were closed and police and fire crews had to conduct water rescues along University Street, the report said. Credit: Michael Waldo via Storyful
